Full Stack Developer

Work together with a small team of smart and motivated people to develop and maintain a highly automated hosting-platform for E-commerce.

Your role:

Hypernode is a specialized hosting provider with complete focus on e-commerce. We’re one of the most innovative players in this area worldwide and we’re looking for someone to join our web team. Together with your colleagues you will work on various Django-based web services such as a user facing control panel, internal and external APIs and a python client for those APIs.

As part of a highly motivated development team you will work with multidisciplinary stakeholders from technical, commercial, product and operational perspectives to provide the best possible managed hosting experience for our customers. You’ll participate in a scrum team to work on both frontend and backend technologies while keeping feature development balanced with the management of technical debt and complexity.

Our stack consists of mostly Django, Django REST framework, Vue.js and Docker Compose but we utilize many different technologies. We value code quality, write automated tests (unit and integration), code review is standard, and we practice continuous development.

Hypernode is part of team.blue, a leading digital enabler for companies and entrepreneurs. As an international power-house we serve over 2 million customers across 10 countries, supported by more than 1000 colleagues all over Europe.

You are:

A Python developer with experience in modern web technologies such as Vue.jS, React or similar. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty digging deep into back end processes, Django database models and Linux systems. At the same time you don’t shy away from Javascript, the Vue.js framework or webpack configurations.

You can find yourself in these following points:
  • A Python developer with experience in modern web technologies such as Vue.js, React or similar.
  • A sharp mind with at least a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in work experience.
  • Capable of reasoning about complex systems and many interconnected (micro) services.
  • Able to debug and troubleshoot problems across the full stack (frontend and backend).
  • Willing to be part of a week-long on-call schedule once in a while.
  • Proficient in at least English speaking and writing.
  • In a travel distance of max 1.5 hours from Amsterdam.
