UX Specialist

Work together with a small team of smart and motivated people to improve the UX experience of a highly automated hosting-platform for E-commerce.

Your role:

Hypernode is a specialized hosting provider with complete focus on e-commerce. We’re one of the most innovative players in this area worldwide and we’re looking for someone to join our web-team as a UX specialist with front-end development experience to help us deliver the best experience for our customers.

In the past two years we have developed a completely new Django Web Framework based Control Panel for our customers to manage their cloud-hosting environments. Now that we’re on the cusp of migrating over all our customers to this new environment we’re looking to streamline the UX experience. We need you to help us take our user journey to the next level.

As part of a highly motivated development team you will work with multidisciplinary stakeholders from technical, commercial, product and operational perspectives to solve UX problems in the Hypernode customer lifecycle. You’ll participate in scrum sprints to contribute to the UX vision of our user facing products, come up with designs and wireframes and implement them in our Vue.JS front-end.

Hypernode is part of team.blue, a leading digital enabler for companies and entrepreneurs. As an international power-house we serve over 2 million customers across 10 countries, supported by more than 1000 colleagues all over Europe.

You are:

A UX specialist that’s capable of thinking through the eyes of our tech-savvy customers. You want to get your hands dirty thinking about the ways customers use and experience their Hypernode hosting-plan, starting from the plan selection page on our public website all the way up until the nitty-gritty of configuring technical settings for their plan in our Control Panel.

You are responsible for the UX experience of our user facing products and you will collaborate with programmers, product people and our marketeers to form a coherent UX vision. You’ll take into account technical feasibility, commercial interests and good taste while proposing and implementing changes.

We are looking for someone who can not only contribute in an advising manner but who can also take on a more pro-active role in assisting and implementing the front-end team with the technical work. We have no lack of good ideas in our backlog, so with the right skills and attitude you could really make an impact by acting on proposed changes.

  • You are responsible for the UX vision for our user facing products
  • You will collaborate and consult with the development, product and marketing stakeholders and represent their interests in your work
  • You will create designs and wireframes for new customer features and proposed changes to existing pages
  • You will implement or assist on the front-end implementation of proposed UX changes (HTML, CSS, Vue.JS, Django)
  • You will be a part of the Hypernode webteam scrum sprints and partake in all rituals (daily stand-up, sprint planning)

Who are you?

  • You are minimally at the level of HBO+ in your work and thinking
  • You have good communicational and social skills
  • You can conduct yourself professionally in English as we do have international colleagues
  • You have experience in design and wireframing
  • You have experience in front-end web development
  • You are an eager problem solver ready to get your hands dirty making a difference for our customers

Rewards and Perks

  • You work with everybody: developers, support engineers, marketing and sales people, management.
  • You get a lot of freedom to shape the way you do your job, but colleagues have your back if you need them.
  • Trips to international conferences come with the job.
  • And if you’re interested in a topic and want to know more, we provide you with a yearly budget for education.
